Dr Alexander Tournier BSc DIC MASt Cantab PhD LCHE RSHom
Alex has a 1st class degree in Physics from Imperial College, and a Master in Advanced Study in Theroretical Physics (a.k.a. part III) from Cambridge University. He wrote his PhD on the Biophysics of water at the interface with biological molécules at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. Alex also trained in homeopathy at the Centre for Homeopathic Education, London and is a registered homeopath.
Alex worked for 10 years at Cancer Research UK (5th institute worldwide for molecular biology) as a researcher working on problems at the interface between biology, physics and mathematics. Alex founded the Homeopathy Research Institute in 2007.
Rachel Roberts BSc(Hons) MCH FSHom
Rachel has a first class degree in Biological Sciences specialising in Physiology from the University of Birmingham. She graduated from the The College of Homeopathy, London in 1997 and was in private practice as a homeopath until 2012. Rachel has lectured in homeopathy and medical sciences at various colleges in the UK and overseas. She held the post of Research Consultant for the Society of Homeopaths from 2008-2012 and was awarded an Honorary Fellowship in 2013 to acknowledge her outstanding contribution to Homeopathy. Rachel joined the HRI in 2010 and nows works for the Institute on a full time basis.
Company Secretary and Event Organiser
Simon is the HRI’s Company Secretary and Event Organiser. He has over 20 years’ experience as a senior executive in campaigning and not-for-profit organisations. As Head of Campaigning at the Sunday Shopping Campaign, he helped change the law to allow shops in the UK to open on most Sundays. He has also held two CEO posts – representing over 140,000 motorcyclists as Chief Executive of the British Motorcyclists Federation and leading the membership organisation for the cultural Deaf, British Deaf Association UK.
Dr Angelina Mosley BSc(Hons) Cantab MSc PhD LCHE

Angelina studied Biological Natural Sciences at Cambridge University before going on to achieve a Masters in Virology and a PhD in Cellular Immunology at Imperial College London. She then spent several years as a conventional scientist at some of the UK’s top research universities. Angelina graduated from the Centre for Homeopathic Education (CHE), London in 2011 with a licentiate in homeopathy. Angelina has since worked at CHE as a marker and tutor for the Research and Anatomy & Physiology modules. She also held the position of joint Research Consultant for the Society of Homeopaths from 2013 to 2015.
Carolyn Howgego BA(Hons) BSc(Hons) LCHE RSHom
Carolyn graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a Communications Studies degree. She went on to work in Marketing and Communications in organisations as diverse as Marie Stopes, WPP, emap and most recently the BBC. She gained 12 years experience as a publicist in the BBC Corporate Press Office and the BBC Sports and Major Events team working on many high-profile campaigns including the Olympics, Wimbledon, Children in Need, Sport Relief and Sports Personality of the Year. In 2011, Carolyn graduated from the Centre for Homeopathic Education (CHE), London with a Homeopathy degree and subsequently set up her own private practice as a homeopath.
In addition to our Scientific Advisory Committee, HRI works with academics worldwide who provide expert input on different areas of homeopathy research on a consultancy basis as and when needed.
