On 20 September 2023, the paper “Is homeopathy effective for attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder? A meta-analysis” by Gaertner et al., was retracted from the journal Pediatric Research. The accompanying Retraction Notice states that due to errors in data extraction, effect size calculation and study quality assessments, the findings of the study are unreliable.

This decision, taken by the journal editors, is in accordance with the retraction guidelines, which state that papers can be retracted if there is, “clear evidence that the findings are unreliable as a result of major error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error).”
