HRI Year in Review 2025

We are pleased to present an overview of HRI’s key activities during the course of 2025:
Research Projects
The following active projects received HRI academic input and/or financial support in 2025:
- Systematic review of placebo-controlled trials evaluating individualised homeopathy (‘Mathie Plus’)
- The Core Outcome Set for Acute Otitis Media Study (COS-OM)
- Homeopathy for Tonsillitis: A systematic review and meta-analysis
- Homeopathy for Sinusitis: A systematic review and meta-analysis
- UK TCIM Survey
- Physico-chemical properties of succussed high dilutions
- Clificol data collection project
- Symphytum bone regeneration in vitro study
- Integrative oncology Delphi study
Four scientific publications were generated this year:
- The core outcome set for acute otitis media, (van der Werf et al. 2025)
- Mode of action theory scoping review (Tournier et al. 2025)
- Clificol COVID-19 Support Project (Fok et al. 2025)
- Brazilian homeopathic complex tracking study (de Medeiros, 2025)
Additional publications are currently under peer review, aiming for publication in 2026.
HRI Greece 2025
The 6th HRI conference took place this year in Thessaloniki, Greece, with 60 presenters from 17 countries and over 200 delegates from 25 countries. Attendee feedback declared HRI Greece 2025 to be a resounding success, facilitating international collaboration and advancing rigorous, high quality scientific research in homeopathy.
External Presentations
We were pleased to accept invitations to present the latest research in homeopathy to audiences in 10 countries, at a range of conferences, media events and expert meetings, including the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine in India, and the 3rd World Congress on Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine in Brazil.

RCT data update
HRI published the annual update of randomised controlled trials in homeopathy, as part of an ongoing collaboration with Dr Robert Mathie. This project was made possible thanks to the generosity of multiple individual donors donating via the HRI website.
