First ever qualitative research on depressed patients’ experience of using homeopathy

HRI is delighted to announce the recent publication of innovative qualitative research, carried out as part of a multi-faceted project investigating the role of individualised homeopathy in treating depression.

Dr Petter Viksveen, University of Sheffield, performed an in-depth exploration of depressed patients’ experiences of receiving treatment from a homeopath. This study provides valuable insight into patients’ understanding of their treatment, and the changes experienced in their health, over time.

Dr Viksveen has also published reflections on the benefits and challenges of using the novel ‘cohort multiple’ pragmatic trial method used for this project.
