{"id":310,"date":"2013-04-24T14:03:31","date_gmt":"2013-04-24T14:03:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/gsw\/hri\/?p=310"},"modified":"2022-03-08T15:13:17","modified_gmt":"2022-03-08T15:13:17","slug":"hri-response-to-seriously-flawed-safety-study-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/zh-hans\/2013\/04\/hri-response-to-seriously-flawed-safety-study-published\/","title":{"rendered":"HRI response to seriously flawed safety study published"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In November 2012, the article &#8216;Adverse effects of homeopathy: a systematic review of published case reports and case series&#8217;, co-authored by Prof Edzard Ernst, was published in the International Journal of Clinical Practice (IJCP). <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/23163497\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This study<\/a> was of such poor quality and contained such serious errors that HRI felt it necessary to write a <a href=\"http:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1111\/ijcp.12138\/pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter to the Editor<\/a> expressing our grave concerns about the lack of reliability of the authors&#8217; findings and requesting a retraction of the article. This letter has recently been published in IJCP, along with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Supplementary-info.pdf\">supplementary information<\/a> substantiating our specific criticisms of this paper.
