{"id":30330,"date":"2023-12-14T14:43:08","date_gmt":"2023-12-14T14:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/?p=30330"},"modified":"2024-03-18T14:44:10","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T14:44:10","slug":"hri-year-in-review-key-achievements-and-highlights-in-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/zh-hans\/2023\/12\/hri-year-in-review-key-achievements-and-highlights-in-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"HRI year in review 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we approach the conclusion of another <span class=\"il\">year<\/span>, we are delighted to present a summary of some of HRI&#8217;s achievements in 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Research projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Five HRI-supported research projects were progressed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/how-do-homeopathic-medicines-work\/basophil-degranulation-experiments\/\">Basophil degranulation experiments<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/learning-more-from-existing-evidence\/acute-otitis-media-systematic-review\/\">Otitis media systematic review<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/learning-more-from-existing-evidence\/homeopathy-and-fever-management-a-scoping-review\/\">Fever scoping review<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/how-do-homeopathic-medicines-work\/physico-chemical-properties-of-high-dilutions\/\">Physico-chemical properties of succussed high dilutions<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/learning-from-day-to-day-practice\/clificol\/\">Clificol data collection project<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Two of these projects generated peer-reviewed publications this year &#8211; Dr Cartwright\u2019s work with solvatochromic dyes (<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/36174650\/\">Cartwright, <em>Homeopathy<\/em> 2023<\/a>) and the Clificol data collection project (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.liebertpub.com\/doi\/full\/10.1089\/imr.2023.0015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tournier et al. <em>Integrative Medicine Reports<\/em>, 2023<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><strong>HRI London 2023<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">In June, more than 230 attendees from 27 countries attended our 5th international homeopathy research <a href=\"https:\/\/hrilondon2023.org\">conference<\/a> in London. 61 researchers from 15 countries presented their work. Filmed presentations and abstracts can be viewed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrilondon2023.org\/presentations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>External presentations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">We were pleased to be able to present the latest research in homeopathy to audiences around the world at a range of conferences, media events and expert meetings, including the 36th Brazilian Congress of Homeopathy, the World Congress for Integrative Medicine (Rome) and the joint American Institute for Homeopathy\/GIRI Congress in the USA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RCT data update<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">In April, HRI published the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/resources\/homeopathy-faqs\/scientific-evidence-for-homeopathy\/\">update<\/a> of randomised controlled trials in homeopathy, as part of an ongoing collaboration with Dr Robert Mathie. <\/span><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">This project was made possible thanks to the generosity of multiple individual donors donating via the HRI website.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Thank you to everyone who supported our work in 2023.
