{"id":9404,"date":"2017-12-20T16:16:18","date_gmt":"2017-12-20T16:16:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/?p=9404\/"},"modified":"2019-08-12T12:28:20","modified_gmt":"2019-08-12T12:28:20","slug":"first-ever-qualitative-research-on-depressed-patients-experience-of-using-homeopathy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/fr\/2017\/12\/first-ever-qualitative-research-on-depressed-patients-experience-of-using-homeopathy\/","title":{"rendered":"First HRI-funded qualitative research paper published"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">HRI is delighted to announce the recent publication of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/28666463\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/28666463\">innovative qualitative research<\/a>, carried out as part of a\u00a0multi-faceted project, co-funded by HRI, which investigated the role of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Viksveen-Relton-Nicholl-Depressed-patients-treated-by-homeopaths-2017.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Viksveen-Relton-Nicholl-Depressed-patients-treated-by-homeopaths-2017.pdf\">individualised homeopathy in treating\u00a0depression<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/what-can-homeopathy-treat\/depression\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/what-can-homeopathy-treat\/depression\/\">Dr Petter Viksveen<\/a>, University of Sheffield, performed an in-depth exploration of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1876382017301737\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1876382017301737\">depressed patients\u2019 experiences of receiving treatment from a homeopath<\/a>.\u00a0This study provides\u00a0valuable insight into patients&rsquo;\u00a0understanding of their treatment, and the\u00a0changes experienced in their health, over time.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Viksveen has also published reflections on the benefits and challenges of using the novel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/28683809\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/28683809\">\u2018cohort multiple\u2019 pragmatic trial method<\/a>\u00a0used for this project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HRI is delighted to announce the recent publication of innovative qualitative research, carried out as part of a\u00a0multi-faceted project, co-funded by HRI, which investigated the role of\u00a0individualised homeopathy in treating\u00a0depression.
