{"id":12416,"date":"2019-08-27T18:09:17","date_gmt":"2019-08-27T18:09:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/?p=12416"},"modified":"2019-10-09T07:37:08","modified_gmt":"2019-10-09T07:37:08","slug":"hri-statement-on-release-of-first-report-by-nhmrc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/fr\/2019\/08\/hri-statement-on-release-of-first-report-by-nhmrc\/","title":{"rendered":"NHMRC finally release first report on homeopathy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Homeopathy Research Institute (HRI) welcomes the decision by Australia\u2019s NHMRC to release its first report on homeopathy, produced in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>After years of NHMRC\u2019s refusing to release the report, researchers, decision-makers and the general public can finally see the full draft of the 2012 Homeopathy Review, in which the author concluded that there is \u201cencouraging evidence for the effectiveness of homeopathy\u201d in five medical conditions.<\/p>\n<p>We also welcome the valuable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/3-CEO-statement-signed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">clarification<\/a> provided by NHMRC CEO Prof Anne Kelso, that NHMRC\u2019s second Homeopathy Review published in 2015 \u201cdid not conclude that homeopathy was ineffective\u201d, despite claims to that effect in media reports and by anti-homeopathy campaigners.<\/p>\n<p>HRI will be reviewing the 2012 draft report, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Draft-annotated-2012-homeopathy-report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Effectiveness of Homeopathy: an overview review of secondary evidence<\/a>, <\/em>carefully over the coming weeks, along with NHMRC\u2019s annotations to the 293-page document.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFor over three years NHMRC have refused to release their 2012 draft report on homeopathy, despite Freedom of Information requests and even requests by members of the Australian Senate.
