{"id":34712,"date":"2024-12-30T12:58:12","date_gmt":"2024-12-30T12:58:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/?p=34712"},"modified":"2024-12-31T15:42:56","modified_gmt":"2024-12-31T15:42:56","slug":"hri-year-in-review-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/es\/2024\/12\/hri-year-in-review-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"HRI Year in Review 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we approach the conclusion of another year, we are delighted to present a summary of some of HRI\u2019s achievements in 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Research Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/learning-more-from-existing-evidence\/acute-otitis-media-systematic-review\/\">Otitis media systematic review<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/informing-future-research\/the-core-outcome-set-for-acute-otitis-media-study-cos-om\/\">Core outcome set for otitis media study<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/learning-from-day-to-day-practice\/homeopathy-use-health-and-disclosure-in-the-uk-population-uk-survey\/\">Homeopathy use UK survey<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/learning-from-day-to-day-practice\/clificol\/\">Clificol data collection project<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/how-do-homeopathic-medicines-work\/basophil-degranulation-experiments\/\">Basophil degranulation experiments<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hri-research.org\/hri-research\/how-do-homeopathic-medicines-work\/physico-chemical-properties-of-high-dilutions\/\">Physico-chemical properties of succussed high dilutions<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two of these projects generated peer-reviewed publications this year \u2013 the otitis media systematic review (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cell.com\/heliyon\/fulltext\/S2405-8440(24)15205-X\">Perry et al.<\/a>\u00a02024) and the Clificol data collection project (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lidsen.com\/journals\/icm\/icm-09-03-043\">Tournier et al.<\/a> 2024).<\/p>\n<p>Proceedings from the HRI London 2023 conference were also published in the journal <em>Homeopathy,\u00a0<\/em>comprising an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thieme-connect.com\/products\/ejournals\/abstract\/10.1055\/s-0043-1777309\">Editorial<\/a> by Rachel Roberts and Dr Angelina Mosley, presenting \u2018Insights from a Decade of Cutting Edge Research on Homeopathy\u2019, in addition to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thieme-connect.com\/products\/ejournals\/pdf\/10.1055\/s-0043-1777120.pdf\">Conference Report<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thieme-connect.de\/products\/ejournals\/issue\/10.1055\/s-014-58993\/grouping\/129571\/10.1055\/s-00034926\">Abstracts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other publications by HRI-affiliated researchers included\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2095496424003418?via%3Dihub\">new guidelines for homeopathic basic research<\/a>\u00a0by a team led by Dr Alexander Tournier; a systematic review assessing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/39628966\/\">long-term effects of antipyretic drug<\/a> use co-authored by Dr Esther van der Werf and a <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/39251199\/\">critical appraisal<\/a>\u00a0of a German cost-effectiveness paper by Leemhuis &amp; Seifurt by Dr Angelina Mosley.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HRI Greece 2025<\/strong><br \/>\nMore than 100 abstracts have been submitted\u00a0for consideration\u00a0for our 6<sup>th<\/sup> conference, <a href=\"https:\/\/hrigreece2025.org\">HRI Greece 2025<\/a>, to be held in Thessaloniki from 20-22 June. The abstracts are currently under peer review, which will inform creation of the scientific programme, due to be announced in early February.<\/p>\n<p><strong>External Presentations<br \/>\n<\/strong>We were pleased to be able to present the latest research in homeopathy to audiences around the world at a range of conferences, media events and expert meetings, including a symposium on homeopathy hosted by the Shanghai Academy of International Standardisation (SAIS-TCM);
